Representing the Tees Valley at Innovation Zero 2026
We recently had the pleasure of attending the Innovation Zero World Congress 2026 in London with the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA), spotlighting Boulby Underground Laboratory’s capability as an environmental and climate science hub in the Tees Valley region.
Innovation Zero is an annual event that brings together research and industry within environmental and climate science. The event promotes collaboration between organisations and sparks discussion around climate policy, Net Zero infrastructure, and Earth science capabilities within the UK.
TVCA are positioning the Tees Valley region as a climate science hub for the UK – the high concentration of Net Zero technology firms and proximity to the North Sea for carbon capture and storage make it an area of high value and potential for climate research. To highlight the capability of Teesside, TVCA operated a pavilion at Innovation Zero this year, inviting along key players in the environmental science space – Boulby Underground Laboratory being one of them.
Thank you to TVCA for supporting Boulby Underground Laboratory as an environmental science hub and we’re excited to contribute skills and expertise to the Tees Valley region.
